Jeff Bezos owns a opulent mega-yacht named Koru. The boat is docked at a Queensland marina right now. The Amazon founder stays 10,000 miles away. It is worth $500 million. It carries a large number of sailors. Getting supplies for a short stay costs about $1.4 million. Local marine industry sources estimate the visit brings $1.95 million in economic activity to the area.
Other opulent boats are also coming to the region. This builds Queensland's name as a destination for luxury superyachts. The Courier Mail describes the marina as a hotspot for billion-dollar yachts.
