Jacob Coxon, alignment lead at Anthropic, has resigned. He issued a warning that artificial intelligence carries serious risks.
Coxon stated there is more than a 10 percent chance that AI could kill all humans by the next decade. He characterised ongoing AI development as a gamble involving human lives.
Coxon also called the technology out of control. His departure has drawn attention. The resignation comes after his warnings about serious AI risks.
Evan Hubinger, also a colleague at Anthropic, has also been noted.
