UFC heavyweight Tai Tuivasa suffered a defeat at UFC 331. He was finished in the opening minutes. The loss occurred in round one. It took place after a troubling seven-fight losing streak. He had recently joined American Top Team. Tuivasa switched camps because he wanted to take advice from new trainers and tweak his preparation.

He worked out with heavyweight Francis Ngannou for UFC 331. He spent time with Ngannou during his training camp. But Tuivasa was knocked out in round one anyway. The first-round defeat came right after his recent move to American Top Team.
