Governor Gavin Newsom signed bills to reduce ICE operations in the state. The legislation include bans on police using electrically conductive gloves and protections for immigrant communities. These actions follow a incident where a young girl's body was discovered in a dumpster, leading to the arrest of her mother. The new legislation aim to respond to issues related to ICE activities and assist immigrant groups.
