The NFL is phasing out the annual Pro Bowl match after 75 years. The league is ending the actual game, but top athletes will still be honored. Players will continue to be named as Pro Bowlers to earn their yearly recognition.
Player honors will remain intact despite the elimination of the event. However, alternate players will no longer be selected by the league. The ruling ends the 75 year history of the annual game, but leading stars will still receive their official Pro Bowl honors each season.
