The Las Vegas Aces fell in a tight contest 83-81 to the Golden State Valkyries on Oct. 9 in a WNBA semifinal, with the series still up for grabs. Guard Jackie Young drew attention for her efforts as she worked to help the Aces fight their way back, according to ESPN coverage.
A'ja Wilson made history during the game, surpassing Diana Taurasi's WNBA playoff scoring record and creating a separate moment of note. The Aces now are under pressure to even the series after the narrow defeat. Both teams return to action with the series on the line.
