FDNY fire marshals are looking into a possible blaze that needed three alarms. It burned through a blocks-long scrapyard in Staten Island. The location was at Rector Street and Castleton Avenue. Dramatic videos were posted online, capturing flames and smoke rising high above the site.
In a separate incident, a fire broke out at an autobody shop in Staten Island. Fire marshals have not stated whether these two incidents are connected. No further details have been released as yet.
