Members of Parliament have advocated reforming the BBC's fee structure. They suggest cutting costs and broadening financial support to include areas outside of television. MPs also suggest scrapping the BBC's charter renewal and halting the broadcaster from outbidding commercial rivals for overseas shows. The proposals aim to address the BBC's funding issues as it faces a critical decision point. The recommendations come amid continuous debates about the broadcaster's next steps.
